HOCKEY PERFORMANCE TESTING
Peak Power offers a modified NHL Combine testing battery.
Our sport specific testing enables us to create individualized evaluations and report cards that give us the information we need to prescribe training that will allow you to achieve your goals.
We perform:
- VO2max
- Body composition
- Wingate
- Functional Movement Screen (FMS)
- Strength and flexibility testing
With experts on staff, you will receive immediate feedback and testing results. You can objectively track your progress and compare yourself to the pros!
Volleyball and Basketball Jump Testing
VERT Wearables
High volumes of jumping in sports like basketball and volleyball can lead to lower body injuries. The VERT load management system allows us to track individual workload in plyometric training situations. The system utilizes a thumb-drive sized device to track metrics such as:
- Jump height
- Landing impact
- Force absorption
- Takeoff power generation
- Joint stress.
These metrics allow us to implement plyometric programs with pinpoint precision as our coaches can direct training based off instant feedback, allowing out athletes to get just the right amount of volume to stimulate adaptation, but not so much to cause injury.
Hawkins Dynamics Force Plates
Our force plate technology measures over 50 different aspects of your jump in just 0.2 seconds.
Our force plate technology measures over 50 different aspects of your jump in just 0.2 seconds
- JUMP higher.
- JUMP more explosively.
- Reduce injuries.
- Build confidence and intimidate opponents.
The Hawkins Dynamics Force Plate system allows our coaches to gather data from plyometric movements in an instant. The force plates allow us to measure limb asymmetry and how it pertains to performance. This allows to measure takeoff forces and force production, as well as impact during landing to make sure that your jump is optimal and to make training corrections to ensure athletes aren't are going to be susceptible to potentially season- or career-ending injuries.
Golf Efficiency Screening
Michael Souster of Peak Power was certified by the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) to utilize their screening protocol to identify mobility, stability, and muscle activation and postural patterns that increase your ability to transfer force into your swing in addition to decreasing the potential for swing errors that will result in poor ball contact.
Not only does this tool tease out inefficiencies in your swing, but it also helps us determine where future injuries may occur so that we can prevent them before they arise. This is the number one tool to use if you are looking to improve your performance out on the links, as well as extend your career and keep your body swinging for years to come.
